The System Full Description

Robust. Modular. Versatile.

Welcome to the high-tech sewer inspection camera TechWorm. This camera utilizes durability, lightweight design, and modularity to solve problems on the field. TechWorm allows the operator to inspect pipes as small as 2 inches to 16 inches and comes equipped with a standard cable length of 196ft but can be customized up to 400ft. Composed of only several parts, the TechWorm is extremely modular, allowing the whole unit to be completely dismantled, which helps during transportation or replacement of damaged or worn-out parts.

The modularity of TechWorm allows for quick interchangement of camera heads, replacement of different reels with various push cable lengths, and rigidity. Speaking of the on-field performance of TechWorm in passing bends, it gives us outstanding results. TechWorm, equipped with a pan and tilt camera head, was able to pass five bends in a 4-inch pipe. Designed and manufactured in Chezchia and here delivered to you for outstanding results.

  • Full HD Image Quality Helps Detect Details
  • Exchangeable Reels with Different Cables

  • Detachable Components For Transportation and Part Replacement
  • Full HD Pan and Tilt Camera Head with Laser Measurement (for 2.7" to 16" pipes)
  • Full HD Straight View Camera Head with Self-Leveling (for 2" to 6" pipes)
  • 512 Hz/33Hz Sonde Beacon For Location
  • Tablet Software with Integrated Software for Text Generation and Footage Capture
TecWorm Pan and Tilt Sewer Inspection Camera consists of several parts and can be customized as a package, but the basic setup is: Frame, reel with cable, camera head, flexible camera neck, battery and charger, and monitor tablet with integrated software.

The frame comes powered coated and can be quickly disassembled, leaving with two legs, a handle, and the main part that contains all the electronics. A special one-way reel brake is fused into the system, which brakes the reel only when it is unspooling the cable and letting the cable freely spool back. This gives a much easier time during the inspections and helps avoid the brake hassle while retracting the cable.

Fused inside of the frame is the electronic footage counter that tracks the amount of the unspooled cable and displays it on the screen. This is very helpful information during the inspections since it allows you to know at what length the pipe has a bend, root damage, or a crack, as well as knowing where to start using the sonde locator for detecting the camera head. The whole system is powered by Dewalt or other standard batteries by quick attachment of the battery into the cradle. The working time is roughly parallel with the amper hours of the battery.

The reel with the cable is connected to the frame by a quick-release connector that facilitates quick replacement of drums with cables that have a different length or rigidness.

Two camera heads are available, and both offer Full HD image quality. The first option is the straight-viewing camera head with a self-leveling function that keeps the image always upright, even if the camera head is upside down. The self-leveling camera is equipped with a manual focus function, which allows the camera to focus on objects closer or further or make the image clearer if it is out of focus. Optionally, the self-leveling camera can be made with different fields of view (100 degrees or 120 degrees). The camera head does not have a sonde beacon integrated into the camera head however the sonde beacon is located in the flexible neck part which allows camera head detection.

The second option is a pan-and-tilt camera head that has a two rotating parts it allowing the operator, with the help of joystick controls, to point the lights and the camera to the direction wanted for easier detection of cracks, defects, root damages, leaks, etc. Integrated into the camera head is the 512Hz sonde beacon that allows camera head detection once it is in the pipes. Like the self-leveling camera head, the pan, and tilt camera head has a manual focus function that allows the operator to focus on objects closer or further, as well as keep the picture in focus.

Connected right behind the camera head to allow flexibility is the head coupling(camera head neck) that connects the camera head to the push cable. With the self-leveling camera head, you would need a head coupling with a sonde beacon to detect the camera head.

The whole unit is powered by Dewalt batteries or other standard batteries and allows the operator to use the unit for up to 10 hours. Roughly, the number of amper hours correlates to the number of working hours.

For viewing the inspection, the TechWorm camera offers an 8.8" screen tablet with joystick controls and integrated software that allows text generation over the screen, video, and photo capture.
