NEXUS X3 Videoscope is a straightforward yet advanced inspection tool for conducting inspections and assessments in various applications and areas. Some of the applications include inspections in turbines, motors, small bore lines, engines, and other confined areas that need a noninvasive inspection.
NEXUS X3 Videoscope is a step up from the VOYAGER line of videoscopes with its large touchscreen monitor, interchangeable probe technology, and powerful integrated software. Optionally, the NEXUS X3 can be equipped with a 3D measurement function.
Key Points of the NEXUS X3 Videoscope
- High-Quality Images
- Large Touchscreen Display
- Interchangeable Probes
- Integrated Software
NEXUS X3 consists of three main parts: the insertion probe, the monitor, and the videoscope host. Starting with the insertion probes, the diameters range anywhere from 2.0mm to as big as 8.0mm in diameter and can be up to 32ft(10M) in length. Equipped with CMOS chips of different resolutions ( the diameter of the videoscope probe limits the size of the integrated chip and the incoming light, thus directly limiting the end image resolution), the probes offer an interchangeable design that allows the operator to switch the same videoscope with different diameter probes and different configurations. Customizations with the insertion probes, such as UV light source, are available.
The monitor of the NEXUS X3 is 5.5" in size and features a touchscreen design along with integrated powerful software that enables image manipulation and marking. The display resolution is 1280x720, and it has a convenient internal storage of 16GB and two USB output ports. For inspections that require a multi-team assessment or a bigger screen, a HDMI port allows a connection between the videoscope and a separate monitor screen for live images.
The videoscope host connects all the parts and powers the whole system with an internal rechargeable battery that can last up to 5 hours. The mechanical joystick control, which is positioned right beside the thumb, drives the insertion probe's all-way tip articulation. On the other side of the handle, right under the first finger, there is a trigger button to use for capturing videos or pictures during the inspection. Other controls of the videoscope host interface include illumination control, digital zoom, image freeze, menu, and the toggle button between photo/video.
NEXUS X3 Videoscope stands as a definite choice for professionals and engineers to look into for conducting visual assessments and documenting them.
