The UF Micro Borescopes are manufactured in the US, using densely-packed Japanese quartz fibres to compose the image bundle. They represent a premium line of super-thin flexible fiberscopes designed to access extremely small inspection areas, with diameters starting at just 0.37mm (0.0146").

Insertion Probe Image Bundle

The UF Micro Borescopes' image bundle utilizes the highest quality Fujikura quartz fibres to obtain the best image possible for these micro diameters. They are covered with a waterproof black polyimide sheath to protect the optics and the fiber light cables which illuminate the inspection area from the tip of the scope. The minimum bend radius with the 0.5mm Fiberscope will be less than 20mm, so they can make fairly tight bends.

Borescope Body with Eyepiece

The eyepiece on the UF Micro Fiberscopes is focusable coupler, meaning the image through the scope can be manually focused to better see the inspection area close up or further away. The focusable eyepiece is also removable, if the fiber optic image bundle is damaged this part can be replaced, instead of the entire scope, making repairs far easier and cheaper

Available Light Sources

All of our Ultra Fine Micro Borescopes can be paired with either a portable SPARK XTR LED Light Handle, or a more powerful MS-LED Light Box to illuminate the inspection area directly from the tip of the insertion probe.

The System Full Description

Ultra Fine Micro Borescope represent our PRO line of small diameter Fiberscopes. They are the best choice for extremely small inspection areas, e.g. cooling holes inside turbine blades, aircraft, marine, locksmiths, and micro-manufactured parts with diameters as small as 0.37mm (0.0146").

All of the optics are tested, adjusted and assembled in the USA to ensure the highest image quality. These advanced image bundles are composed of Fujikura microscopic quartz fibers. These Japanese fibers are small enough to provide a brilliant, high resolution image, which is not so small as to leak light or resolution. The bundle density is 3,000 fibers in 0.37mm diameter, 3,000 fibres in the 0.5mm diameter, and 10,000 fibres in the 0.75mm diameter. The minimum bend radius with the 0.5mm borescope will be 20mm, so it can make tight bends.

The UF Micro Borescopes come in diameters of 0.37mm (0.0146"), 0.5mm (0.0197") or 0.75mm (0.295"), and field of views of 60 and 70 degrees, respectively. But we can customize these and offer larger diameters and longer probes.
