The Trogloprobe-SL is a self-leveling push camera with a 1.9” diameter camera head and an industrial grade design suitable for tough environments. These units are manufactured in UK, using 30 years of experience and expertise to make them the best solution to inspect wet environments, since the camera head and push cable are IP68 waterproof and the reel, DVR box, and keyboard are also IP67. The Trogloprobe-SL is ideal for plumbing, pipe and duct lines, municipalities, oil rigs, dam inspections, bride or boat inspections, or any outdoor application in rainy weather.  The set includes an extremely durable camera head, along with a stiff, solid push cable, designed to inspect 3” up to 36” areas, up to 290 feet long.

The Trogloprobe-SL push camera is a fully portable inspection device, powered by an advanced power cell which provides up to eight hours of portable use per charge. The 1.9” diameter (48mm) color camera head is machined from high grade stainless steel, with a 5mm thick sapphire lens over the ¼” CMOS camera chip. This camera chip also features a built in “Digital Clarity” which refines the live image on the monitor, and an extremely low light sensitivity, better than 0.1 lux. The camera head is IP68 waterproof to 11 bars of pressure (368 ft, 160psi). The self-leveling mechanism inside the camera head, which ensures that the image on the monitor is always right side up, is mounted on precision bearings, which are isolated from the outer body using Nitrile shock-absorbers. Around the outside of the camera chip are four high-intensity 4th generation LED lights (1400 lumens each), which provide more than twice the light of existing products. Increased light equals better imaging, and allows the push camera to operate in larger diameters pipes.

The reinforced push cable is durable and built to be very dependable for a wide variety of inspection areas. It is waterproof, with a 5 conductor epoxy glass core, and a length from standard 61 meters (200 feet) to optional 90 meters (295 feet). The reel is powder coated steel, with hard anodized aluminum, there is a built in onscreen foot counter.

The live image is displayed on the 5.6” high-brightness LCD monitor, which comes with a sun shield, full keyboard to add text to captured files, and an SD memory card to capture images and video of your inspections.  These units are fully compatible with Wincan reporting software as well.

The Trogloprobe-SL push camera can be equipped with an advanced 1" straight view camera (1.2" total diameter if it used without extension rod). It has utilized the very latest in CMOS sensor and LED technology. This unit can be supplied with a 20M (65 feet) super-flexible extension rod, contained in a coiler cage, which fits inside the base coiler.

This allows both the 1.9" and 1" cameras to be used on the same system and provides the greatest flexibility. The T710 1" camera can be used on internal domestic waste pipework to a minimum of 1.25". However, the performance of the camera will provide exceptional pictures in 6" and larger diameter pipes depending on the material.

Optional accessories, aside from the length of the push cable, include a 512Hz Sonde built into the camera head to allow you to locate the camera head underground (not available for 1" camera head with an extension rod), WiFi module for immediate sharing of photo’s and video live from the system to the end-customer, or optional rolling skid to center the camera head and help it roll down different diameter pipes.

I'm glad i found it!

The unit worked fine and did what we needed. Unfortunately it confirmed that we will need a new well eventually, the source of the sand we were searching for is coming in from an aquifer below the casing, so nothing that can be fixed easily. But at least we now know how deep the casing is, no one in the county had any records.
The nice thing is that camera went down the well without removing the supply pipe. When I inquired about hiring a well inspection service locally they said we had to get the pump pulled before they could inspect the well. It would be better with a rotating head to look around, but without spending $1,000 to pull and reinstall the pump, plus a day or two without water, it was a good investment to get a general view what’s going on below, answered a lot of questions in a short amount of time. The only thing to note if you do get inquiries is that the well should be disinfected after the probing (we don’t know where that camera has been, and that’s our drinking water).
