The new Gecko 8030 self-leveling color sewer camera is the heaviest and strongest push camera that we sell. This German made system has been designed to be used in large diameter applications to access deep areas, including pipes up to and over 20” in diameter, with lengths up to 140 meters (460 ft.). These are ideal for plumbers, pipe or duct cleaning companies, and municipalities running long distances between access points or manholes. This set includes a durable, stiff, heavy, push cable that can navigate 90 degree bends in 5” pipe, which is fully waterproof and capable of behind used in higher temperatures, up to 100 degrees Celsius. The Gecko 8030 sewer camera is designed to deliver a high quality image with a strong, reliable design, for inspection of large drain lines, sewage pipes, ventilation or electrical shafts, lateral lines, and cavities.
The self-leveling camera head of the Gecko 8030 is 50mm (1.97 inch) in diameter, with a high resolution Sony CCD chip that produces a bright, crisp, color image of the inspection area. It features a wide angle 97 degree field of view, 752x582 pixels of resolution, high grade steel construction, NANO coating on the glass lens, and a waterproof rating to 5 bars (167 ft.) of pressure. The brilliant LED illumination is dual powered, with 24 extreme brightness LED lights that provide even illumination for close up inspections, and 12 SMD LEDs for wide dispersion of light to see wider and further away. This camera head is also interchangeable if you want to use a different style, like a pan and tilt camera, or if you want to have a back up camera head.
The reinforced push cable is durable and solidly constructed to allow you to push this to its full length in a variety of inspection areas. It is waterproof, with an 11mm (0.43”) diameter, 140 meter (460 foot) length, and a flexible spring coil with a protective sheath over the wires. The reel is robust and features a trouble-free 6 pole slip ring. The Gecko 8030 sewer camera can be used to inspect straight pipes starting at 70mm (2.75”), it can navigate 90 degree bends in 125mm (5”) pipes, and will be fine for inspections up to 500mm (20”) with additional rolling skids to center and protect the camera head. For deeper inspection areas, 2 operators may be required to push the cable and camera head on a rolling skid to fully deploy the unit. There are also rubber wheels built into the reel, so this set can easily be transported around the jobsite, and set up where desired.
The live image is displayed on an 8” color LED monitor, which is protected by a metal case, with a sun shield for daylight reading. It comes with a digital video recorder, built in capture buttons, an SD memory card, and remote control to capture images and video from inspections. Additional features include an onscreen electronic foot counter, to record the distance inserted into an area, and a rechargeable battery pack that provides up to 4 hrs of portable use.
The inspection system comes with a built in 512Hz sonde to locate the camera head up to 10 feet below the surface with a detection wand.
Optional accessories include a keyboard to input text/label captured files and a variety of rolling skids to protect and center the camera head in various pipe diameters. These units all come with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects as well.
