Medit's metal halide and LED light sources as well as our flexible fiber optic light cables are very good additions to your rigid or flexible borescopes (fiberscopes). Portable LED handles are convenient for short term (usually in the field) borescope inspection and thanks to new technologies they provide great illumination of the inspection area. Beside their portability another valuable feature of portable LED light sources is their long life span. Approximate operational lifetime for an LED bulb is about 50 000 hrs. Metal halide light source for borescope provide great light output and a clear white light. With necessary care they will work for a long time, but the bulbs should be replaced every 500 hours with an AL - 1824 which you can buy from us on fiberscope.net. The flexible light guide cables allow you to connect your borescope to ACMI, Storz, Wolf and Olympus light sources. Every borescope light source that should go to a customer is manually tested by our Quality Control department. These light sources also come standard with a one year manufacturer warranty.
